Wingara Quarter Horses

 Wingara Quarter Horses and myself are new to the Quarterhorse world of studs and breeding.  Our goal is to breed cowy sprint horses and speedy cow horses that will be suitable for the whole family and all disiplines in the horse sport arena, especially sprint and barrel racing/sporting roping and campdrafting.

I only have a small band of mares.  Eventually I will add more performed sprint mares to the team as sprint racing takes off around the country and these mares become available.

Sunny Lena Q-38586

Sunny is by Lethal Lena and out of Sun Hills Skipper Night Shine.  On her top side she goes back to Commanders Boy and on the bottom she goes back to War Beaver. 

Sunny is ridden by the whole family including the kids.   All of his foals that I have  by him are extremely quiet.  The first of them will be broken in later this year.

Decked Out Q-23442

Decked Out is by the legendary Morn Deck and out of Lady Leo Bob who goes back to Depth Charge and Dial Direct.  Her foals will perform in any disipline, but especially  speed and timed events.

 So far Decked Out has produced for me 3 quality colts.  The first is Slide N Out a 3 year old colt by Slims Doc N King.  Slide N Out is in training with Bill Carey at Lowood and doing very well.  It is hoped that Bill and Slide N Out will go to the Challenges next year 2010.   

Next is 18 month old Sundeck.  He is by Sunny Lena.  Sundeck will hopefully be a futurity horse when Q Sprint takes off.

Decked Out's latest edition to the family is MooShoo.  A chestnut colt born late 2008.  He displays all the charactor that his name suggests.

Darwins Bay Blur A-2946

Pretty Girl as she is affectionately known is by Darwin Doc and out of a foundation mare.  She has had some cutting training and has also campdafted.  Pretty Girl is know up to foal number 2.  She had a black/brown colt early January 2009, just before the wet set in.  Her first foal is a bay filly who is now about 19 months old and has tha making of a great family horse.  Both of these foals out of Pretty Girl are by Sunny.

Later James

Later James is by Aroonas Hey Hey Jessie and out of a Thoroughbred quarter horse x mare called Maybe Later.  She has done a fair bit of mustering and has a ton of cow and a big heart.  She is pictured with her first foal, Charlette who is by Sunny. 

Charlette has a new home with Robyn Brown.  Hope you have fun with her Rob.

Later James' second foal a colt this time is also by Sunny.  A pretty little bay who should excell at any event especially timed and sporting.

Bobby Dazzler

 

 

Bobby Dazzler is a quarter pony mare that I have kept to breed kids ponys from.  She is the mother of Nikita that Katey Hickmont started campdrafting on as a young girl and won many drafts with.  Her 2007 foal is a black/brown gelding that is rising 2 which my kids are hoping to start under saddle later this year.

Bobby has recently had her second foal by Sunny Lena.  A little baldy face chestnut filly.  Photos of Keanna are on the photo gallery page. 

 Keanna has now out grown her mum.

Wingara Dash In A Flash

Dash is a 4year old mare that we have just recently purchased.  Dash is by Caseys Luck and out of Tandara Sherrie.  With a double cross of Easy Jet and a family tree of speed horses.  Dash has had a colt foal to Slide N Out.  He was born on the 7 September 2009 and we have called him Flash.  You can see photos of Flash in the Photo Gallery page.

Dash will be next put to MP Thriftwood for a late 2010 foal.  MP Thriftwood is owned by Cherrie Cervi's father of the Potters Ranch in the USA. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mint registration pending

Mint is by Sunny Lena and out of Darwins Bay Blur (Pretty Girl).  She's bay with no white markings.  Born September 2007, she is growing nicely.  Mint is showing the great nature of both her parents.

Mint has just come back from being started under saddle.  She has shown alot of ability.  On her first ride out of the yards she was jumping over logs over a foot high with no effort and loving it.  She is very forward moving and easy to get along with.         

   

Wingara Treble

Treble is by Sunny Lena out of Bobby Dazzler.  He is now 3 and has just come home from being started under saddle.  Like Mint he is very forward going and easy to get along with.  The kids can't wait to start riding him.

 

Wingara Charlette

Charlette is by Sunny Lena and out of Later James.  Charlette has now found herself a new home at Bogunda, Prairie with Robyn Brown.

Swifts Summer Twist

A very good looking compact black/brown mare.  By Docs Gay Badger out of Cutters Lucky Twist.  We have not long had her.  Summer is intended for the kids to ride down the track.  Until then she will be used for mustering and sporting events and campdrafting.  She has the conformation and the need for speed to be a very handy barrel racing prospect. 

Summer has just had a champaine coloured filly by Slide N Out.  Born of the 26 September 2009.

Ropely Park Gold Buckle Q-27076

Gold Buckle is a big powerfull buckskin mare.  She has a double cross of Bolero's Cause (imp).  Buckle is being bred to First N Kool.  I managed to aquire seman to theis very special horse through the stallions service auction that was hosted by the VRQHA.

Royal Selection Q-55199

Dutchess as she is known in the paddock is a well built chestnut mare who is by Blaze to Glory and out of Leos Lady by Triple Leo.  She was used for mustering and campdrafting before I purchased her as a brood mare.  It is planned for her to be put to Slide N Out for a 2010 foal.
